Srinagar, Sep 02 (KNO): The Sopore Footpath Union held a protest against Sopore administration on Saturday, alleging that the administration is not paying attention to their grievances and is making them run from pillar to post. They claimed they are not being allowed to come up with their stalls in the market. The aggrieved protestors, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), gathered in Srinagar's press enclave while wearing shrouds and raised slogans against Sopore administration. “The administration is doing injustice to us, not permitting us to sit anywhere in the market,” said Mohammad Amin Malla, President Sopore Footpath Union. “We are suffering greatly, and we would like to ask the administration to let us continue our business in the already designated places until they relocate us. We have taken loans, and if they do not allow us to sell our grocery items in these places, where can we earn, and what will we go?” he added. “We have been suffering for the last 18 days, and we would like to request the authorities to take action in this regard; otherwise, we will have to take to the streets.”—(KNO)
